Traffic on Road I-2 Ruse – Razgrad near Pisanets Rerouted to Bypasses as of 10 May

Vremenna_organizatsiya_Pisanets.jpgTraffic at 34 km on Road I-2 Ruse – Razgrad will be rerouted to bypasses as of 10 May due to the repair works on the bridge on the Beli Lom River close to the village of Pisanets. The bridge, in use since 1974, is repaired with funds from the Road Infrastructure Agency budget. The investment exceeds BGN 5 million.

 


 


During the renovation and rehabilitation works, light vehicles of up to 3.5 tons will be rerouted to road I-2 Ruse – Razgrad at the crossroads with road III-2001 Pisanets – Vetovo, before the bridge on the Beli Lom river, and continue on the municipal road through the village of Pisanets to go back to road I-2 Ruse – Razgrad.

Heavy vehicles of more than 3.5 tons will be rerouted from road I-2 Ruse – Razgrad to road II-23 Ruse – Kubrat through the village of Chervena Voda, continue on road II-2302 through the village of Semerdzhievo, the town of Vetovo and the village of Prostorno and then on road II-49 Targovishte – Kubrat through the villages of Kichenitsa and Strazhets to the junction with road I-2 Ruse – Razgrad.

The temporary traffic organisation is planned until 7 August of this year.

The contractor for the renovation and rehabilitation works on the bridge over the Beli Lom River at the village of Pisanets on road І-2 Ruse – Razgrad is ORS-T, a partnership under the Obligations and Contracts Act, comprising: ORS Infrastructure OOD, Sofia and Patengineering-T EAD, Targovishte. The contract value stands at BGN 5 121 698.78, VAT inclusive. Construction supervision will be provided by Plovdivinvest AD. Its contract is valued BGN 72,000, VAT inclusive.

The renovation and rehabilitation works on the bridge at km 34+196 on road І-2 Ruse – Razgrad includes removal of all layers above the reinforced steel framework, putting of a new concrete layer, replacement of waterproofing, two new layers of asphalt concrete made of polymer modified bitumen, replacement of drainage. The posts and beams of the bridge framework will be renovated.

Should the weather allow it, it is expected that the repair works will be completed in October of this year.

A Situation Centre at the Agency which gathers and summarizes information about the conditions of the natiuonal roads is functional 24 hours a day all year round.
