Drivers Pass along the Route of Lot 4 of Struma Motorway as of Today

Drivers traveling to Greece will pass along the route of Lot 4 Sandanski – Kulata of Struma Motorway from this evening on. Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, the Ministers of Regional Development and Public Works - Lilyana Pavlova and of Transport, Information Technology and Communications - Ivaylo Moskovski and the Chairman of the Management Board of Road Infrastructure Agency, Eng. Lazar Lazarov, inspected the route of the 15-kilometer section before placing traffic from road junction Petrich to Border Control Checkpoint Kulata.

As of Today the Transit Traffic for Greece will Run along the New Section Kulata - Marino Pole of Lot 4 of Struma Motorway

The right-hand carriageway for the last 3 km of lot 4 of Struma motorway will be commissioned for two-way traffic pre-term today. In this manner the transit traffic is to be moved outside the villages Kulata, Chuchuligovo and Marino Pole. The objective is to make the traffic much safer and not to create inconveniences for the residents of the three populated areas in the active tourist season when a lot of people travel to the sea resorts of Greece.

Road Infrastructure Agency supports the National Road Safety Campaign which is part of the World Initiative of the Youth Organization of the United Nations, the World Health Organization and the Road Safety Organization. The objective is to attract and enhance the attention of travellers through billboards and advertising materials to make driving safer.

The Trip from Dimitrovgrad to Border Control Checkpoint Kapitan Andreevo Is Already along a Motorway

The new right-hand carriageway of Maritsa motorway between Svilengrad and Kapitan Andreevo – from km 99+820 to km 108+510 is already open for traffic. The total length of the section is 8,6 km. The project was implemented by funds from the national budget under New Construction Program of the Road Infrastructure Agency. The investment into the right-hand carriageway is in the amount of nearly BGN 28 million. By its commissioning the trip from Dimitrovgrad to BCCP Kapitan Andreevo is already implemented along a motorway.
