Eng. Stefan Chaykov is the New Chairman of the Management Board of Road Infrastructure Agency

Eng. Stefan Chaykov was appointed as a Member and Chairman of the Management Board of Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) by an Order of the Minister of Regional Development Dessislava Terzieva. The Chairman of the Management Board so far Lazar Lazarov remains a Member of the Management Board. Minister Terzieva presented eng. Stefan Chaykov and emphasized that his entire professional career was related to the road sector and that he is an expert who knows in detail the overall process of work in the road construction sector.

The New Section of Hemus Motorway – Link with Sofia Ring Road – Road Junction Yana Has Been Opened for Traffic

The link of Hemus Motorway with Sofia Ring Road – road junction Yana has been opened for traffic. The total length of the new motorway section is 8,46 km. The Project is cо-financed by the EU Cohesion Fund and the state budget under Operational Programme on Transport 2007-2013. Senior Priest Yoan who conducted a ceremony for blessing with holy water for the health of builders and drivers, wished reasonable and safe traveling along the National Road Network.

The Construction of 37 km More of Struma Motorway in the “Dupnitca – Blagoevgrad” Started

The construction of 37 km more of Struma motorway has been started. The symbolic first sod has been turned today of Lot 2, “Dupnitca – Blagoevgrad” section from km  322+000 to km 359+483.52. The project is co-financed by the EU Cohesion Fund and the national budget under Operational Programme on Transport 2007-2013. On 23 July has been opened for traffic the section “Dolna Dikanya – road junction Dupnitca-North” – from km  305+220 to km 319+200 and two road links „Sofia – Dupnitca“ and „Dupnitca – Sofia“, being part of Lot 1 of Struma motorway.

The “Dolna Dikanya – junction Dupnitca North” section (from km 305+220 to km 319+200) of Struma motorway has been opened for traffic. The project is co-financed by the EU Cohesion Fund and the state budget under Operational Programme on Transport 2007-2013. The official ceremony for opening the motorway was attended by the Minister of Regional Development Desislava Terzieva, the Chairman of the Management Board of the Road Infrastructure Agency Lazar Lazarov and the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Petar Kirov.
