2/3 of Zheleznitsa Tunnel of Struma Motorway Were Dug

Two thirds of the excavation and the primary lining of Zheleznitsa tunnel of Struma Motorway have been completed within one year since the start of the construction works. The primary lining of the facility on the south side reached 790 m for the left pipe and 706 m for the right one. From the north side 680 m out of the right pipe and 670 m out of the left pipe were dug.

The construction of Hemus Motorway in the section between Boaza and the connection to Pleven - Lovech road is progressing. Currently excavations and embankments are being carried out on the route, divided into three sections, work on the major facilities is being proceeded - bridges, viaducts, road junctions, subways and overpasses.

On October 5th , the Renovation of 12 km of the Trakia Motorway lane for Burgas begins from Belozem Road Node to Orizovo Road Node

On October 5th, a renovation of the first 12 km of the Trakia motorway begins in the lane for Burgas. The renovation will cover 52 km in total, which will be gradually renovated. The section to be renovated begins at the 156 km after the Belozem road node and ends at the 168 km before the Orizovo road node. During the renovation activities, the two-way traffic will be shifted to the lane to Sofia, and the driving speed will be up to 70 km/h.

Avtomagistrali State Company Will Design and Build nearly 66 km of the Vidin – Botevgrad Road

Avtomagistrali EAD will build 65.8 km from road I-1 Vidin – Botevgrad in the section between the Makresh road node and the bypass road of Montana. The Road Infrastructure Agency assigns activities for additional design and execution of construction and assembly works pursuant to art. 14, para. 1, item 6 of the Public Procurement Act, as the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works is the sole owner of 100% of the capital of Avtomagistrali EAD and the rights of the state in the company are exercised by the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works. The RIA is also a secondary authorising officer of the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works.
