Monday and Friday are the Days with the Most Intensive Traffic on Road I-5 Kardjali - Podkova

Two years after opening the traffic along the new Kardjali – Podkova section of road I-5, it is already one of the busiest road sections of the national road network in South Bulgaria, with Mondays and Fridays being the most heavy trafficked. Since the beginning of the year, 9700 motor vehicles is the average 24-hour traffic of vehicles for the two days with the most intensive traffic along the rehabilitated section of the first-class road I-5 between Kardjali and the fork for Dzhebel; and 3600 motor vehicles per 24 hours at the average along the new route – from the fork for Dzhebel to Podkova.

Five projects of the Road Infrastructure Agency were honored at the first award giving ceremony within the “INFRASTRUCTURE BULGARIA AWARDS“ 2016 initiative. The City Media Group is the founder of the competition for projects contributing to the building of Bulgaria’s infrastructure, under the auspices of three Ministries – of Regional Development and Public Works, of Transport, Information Technology and Communications and of Environment and Water, of branch and academic organizations within the sector.
