Road Infrastructure Agency with Prestigious World GIS Prize in San Diego

The Geographic Information System of Road Infrastructure Agency was honored with the highest international distinction in the sphere of geospatial technologies. The prize will be awarded on 29 June at a solemn ceremony in the Congress Center of San Diego, the USA.

The Tender Procedures for Rehabilitation of 238 km of Roads under Operational Programme “Regions in Growth” Are Opened

The tender procedures for selection of Contractors of the construction and assembly works during the rehabilitation of 238 km of second- and third-class roads included in the first stage of Operational Programme “Regions in Growth” 2014 – 2020 are opened. The indicative value is nearly 152 million BGN.  

Heavy-Duty Truck Traffic Not Restricted during Summer Months. Road Signs Prohibit Trucks from Overtaking on Motorways

The ban on heavy-duty truck traffic above temperatures of 35 degrees Celsius will be cancelled. Heavy-duty vehicles exceeding 20 tons will be allowed to travel freely on national roads during the summer; until now, this was prohibited from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Minister Pavlova: Approximately 250 km of Second and Third Class Roads Will be Rehabilitated with BGN 180 Million from Operational Program „Regions in Growth“

The significant investment of BGN 180 million will be used to implement the first part of the projects for rehabilitation and reconstruction of roads under Operational Program „Regions in Growth 2014 – 2020“. Sections totalling 248 km in length will be repaired under 14 contracts, Minister of Regional Development of Public Works Lilyana Pavlova announced at the ceremony to sign the contracts under grant procedure BG16RFOP001-7.001 „Regional Roads”.
