Southern Black Sea Tourists Travel on a Four-Lane Road in the Section between Pomorie and Aheloy

The construction of the second carriageway of I-9 road Slanchev Bryag – Burgas, in the section between Aheloy and Pomorie, and of the direct route of the Aheloy bypass has been completed. The opening of the sections before the start of the active tourist season considerably facilitates the traffic and increases road safety.

In Peak Hours of the Active Summer Season, the Traffic of Heavy Duty Goods Vehicles over 12 t along Motorways and the busiest Roads Will Be Restricted

In the active summer seasons – from June 1st to September 15th 2018, on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, at the hours with the most intensive traffic, the movement of heavy goods vehicles over 12 tons on motorways and the busiest roads will be restricted. The goal is to increase both road safety and the capacity of the infrastructure, as well to enhance the traveling comfort.

The Repair of 10 km of Hemus Motorway in Varna District Begins

The repair works of 10 km from Hemus Motorway on the territory of Varna District begins. Two sections will be repaired. The first consists of 6 km from the Nevsha road junction and the Mlada gvardiya road junction (from the 375th km to the 381st km) and the second is 4 km long and is within the Devnya Region (from the 389th to the 393rd km). The repairs include full renovation of the asphalt pavement, restoration of the drainage, new horizontal markings, as well as repair of the adjacent road facilities.

Hemus Motorway Will be Completed until the Beginning of 2024

Hemus Motorway will be completed until the beginning of 2024. On the grounds of the carried out procedures, we have managed to shorten the period for completion and the construction will end a year earlier than the deadline that was set last year. This was announced today, in Veliko Tarnovo, by the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Nikolay Nankov, during the second discussion under the moto “Hemus Motorway – Revival of the Bulgarian North”. By the end of 2021, 160 km motorway will be completed, he added.
