The Construction of Further 12,6 km of Struma Motorway has Commenced

The construction of Struma Motorway’s section between Blagoevgrad and Krupnik started with funding from the Operational Programme “Transport and Transport Infrastructure”. Lot 3.1 from km 359+000 to km 366+000 and from km 370+400 to 376+000 forms part of the project: Struma Motorway - lot 3.1, lot 3.3 and Zheleznitsa Tunnel. It is co-financed by the EU Cohesion Fund and the National Budget through OPTTI 2014-2020.

At the Road Infrastructure Agency the tenders were opened of the participants in the public procurement for design, construction and introduction of electronic system for collection of the fees for using the national road network. The system will be based on a distance traveled for vehicles with a total technically permissible maximum laden mass over 3,5 t (toll) and time-based for passenger cars with a total technically permissible laden maximum mass of up to 3,5 t (electronic vignette).

The Contractor for Construction of 16 km of Hemus Мotorway from Belokopitovo Road Junction in Direction to Targovishte was Selected

The contractor for design and construction of 16.3 km of Hemus motorway – the section between road junctions Belokopitovo and Buhovtsi in the direction to Targovishte was selected. The implementation of the project will be funded by the national budget under the “New construction” program of the Road Infrastructure Agency.
