KAPSCH TRAFFIC SOLUTIONS has been nominated as the Toll system's Contractor

API_building_2016_.JPGThe CONSORTIUM “KAPSCH TRAFFIC SOLUTIONS” has been nominated as the Toll system's Contractor in the public procurement for the design, construction and implementation of an electronic toll collecting system for the use of the national road network.  

The traffic of heavy-duty trucks, exceeding 12 tonnes, through the Pass of the Republic shall be stopped from 20 September to 15 November 2017. During the repair works the traffic shall be rerouted through the Kotlen Pass

Prohod_Republika_EN.jpgThe traffic of heavy-duty road vehicles, exceeding 12 tonnes, through the Pass of the Republic – Road II-55 Veliko Tarnovo - Gurkovo, shall be stopped from 20 September to 15 November 2017. The section of the second-class road, passing through the town of Gurkovo (from km 56 + 920 to km 58 + 820) shall be repaired. The purpose of the ongoing activities is to enhance traffic safety during the forthcoming winter season, as the Pass of the Republic is the main road connection for heavy traffic between the Northern and Southern parts of Bulgaria.

The public procurement for the design and construction of the Zheleznitsa Tunnel on the Struma Motorway has been announced

Lot_3.1_AM_Struma_Tunel_Jeleznitsa.jpgThe Road Infrastructure Agency has announced an open procedure for the design and construction of Struma Motorway, Lot 3.1, the Zheleznitsa Tunnel. The indicative value of this public procurement is 250 million Bulgarian leva, excluding VAT. Tenderers may submit their bids latest 5.30 p.m. on 19 October 2017. The project is co-financed by the European Union Cohesion Fund and the national budget through the Operational Programme “Transport and Transport Infrastructure, 2014-2020”. RIA has sent today the documents for the opening of the tender procedure to the Public Procurement Agency.
