28 offers have been submitted in the open procedure for the design and construction of the Zheleznitsa Tunnel on the Struma Motorway Lot 3.1. The indicative design value of this public procurement contract is 250 million Bulgarian leva, excluding VAT. The project is co-financed by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union and the national budget through OP Transport and Transport Infrastructure (OPTTI) 2014-2020.
On the Last Working Day before Christmas the Traffic of Trucks over12 t will be Limited on the Busiest Roads

The traffic of trucks having a maximum mass exceeding 12 tonnes on the motorways and the busiest roads will be limited on 22 December (Friday), the last working day before the Christmas holidays, between 16:00 h and 20:00 h. The aim is to enhance safety, to increase the throughput of the road infrastructure and to ensure the smooth travel of drivers of passenger motor vehicles.
The European Commission Approved BGN 739 Million for the Construction of Struma Motorway

The European Commission approved the project for construction of 40 km of Struma Motorway, the sections Blagoevgrad – Krupnik, Kresna – Sandanski and Zheleznitsa Tunnel. The total amount of the means granted by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union is 628 million Euro. The national co-financing is in the amount of BGN 111 million.

The Road Infrastructure Agency launches a new open procedure for design and construction of Lot 3.1, Zheleznitsa tunnel of Struma motorway. The indicative value of the contract is BGN 250 million VAT exclusive. The project is co-financed by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union and the national budget through Operational Program Transport and Transport Infrastructure 2014 – 2020.
